After just two weeks of this challenge I felt I wanted to try new things, new materials, new techniques. I was ready to get outside my comfort zone and just mess things up. I was ready to fail. And I gotta say I‘m incredibly happy that I decided to do that. I’m in love with what came out the other side. I chose liquid watercolors (yes, those are a thing) as an under layer, which I‘ve never done before, and their vibrancy manages to shine through each and every single swipe of acrylic painted I layered on top. I used big brush strokes freely and in the process freed myself from pre conceived notions of what works and what doesn’t. I feel excited, I have so many more ideas, I want to try it all!
