My friend sends me this text when I‘m having a hard time „The universe got your back“ and it inspired this painting.

Despite what you may see on social media, struggle is normal, and having bad days (while it sucks) is part of the whole „human experience“ thing. And some days it’s harder to get out of the funk than others. I like to surround myself with reminders that „This too shall pass“. 

That‘s why my paintings are bright and upbeat. Or full of brilliant colors. Even deep sorrow can be colorful. They are here to cheer you on and help you dust yourself off when you‘ve fallen. I‘m not perfect. In fact, I‘m very hard on myself. Yet I would never talk to a friend the way I‘m treating myself.

And if I can make your day just a little bit more bearable with pretty paintings then I consider my job well done.
